A magnitude-4.4 earthquake jolted the province of Cagayan on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, the agency said the tremor occurred at 12:05 a.m. with its epicenter traced 148 kilometers northwest of Calayan town in Cagayan.
Phivolcs said the temblor, which was tectonic in origin, had a shallow depth of 24 kilometers and no reported intensity.
The agency noted that there was no casualty or damage reported from the quake and aftershocks are not expected as well. PNA
