• Magnitude 4.7 quake jolts Albay


    LEGAZPI CITY: A magnitude 4.7 quake jolted the province of Albay at 6:53 a.m. Sunday.

    The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded 41 kilometers east of Legazpi City.

    In a text message, Renato Solidum said the quake’s epicenter was at Legazpi City in Albay with a depth of six kilometers.

    The quake was felt at intensity 4 in Legazpi and Sorsogon City in Sorsogon province.

    Eduardo Laguerta, resident volcanologist of Philvolcs observatory in Ligñon Hill, Legazpi City, said no damage was so far reported. PNA
