MAGUINDANAO: The Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) has chosen this province after an ocular inspection to hold a three-day (May 21-23) convergence for their national executive board meeting that would also help promote Maguindanao’s brighter side despite from armed conflicts and political feudalism.
Buluan Vice Mayor Jhazzer Mangudadatu, VMLP officer-in-charged for the event, told reporters here “all set” for hosting the “biggest convergence” in Maguindanao that will be attend by members of the VMLP from all-over the country.
The VMLP conducted an ocular inspection in Buluan town on April 8 and found the place “appropriate” for the convergence, he said.
The gymnasium, which was made “fully air-conditioned” for the VMLP gathering, is the same venue that catered to the spectacular match last April 12 between the Philippine Basketball Association veterans and the Maguindanao Youth for Peace team comprising children of former Moro rebels, soldiers and cops.
The meeting includes a board meeting of the league the VMLP led by their national president Manila Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and an array of presentation showcasing to visitors the evolution of the province from vestiges of armed conflicts and political feudalism, he said.
