Contrary to murmurings that Maine Mendoza’s days at the top are numbered, what with the climax of AlDub’s story on Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye done with before the end of 2015, Yaya Dub is still very much showbiz’ “It Girl.”
Proof is the continuing flood of endorsements coming her way, the latest of which is for meat manufacturers CDO’s Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino brand.
Dubbed the “phenomenal star,” Maine said during her launch, “Never kong inakala na makararating ako sa lugar na ‘to. I am doing what I really want to do and I am very thankful because of that.”
She admitted, however, that there is a downside to being in demand: “It’s not as easy as I thought it would be and I must admit that it is physically-tiring. But I am humbled and really thankful that there are fans who support me. To me, that’s the best part of the job.”
She also acknowledged that with her celebrity comes a huge responsibility, especially when it comes to choosing her endorsements. “I have to make sure that anything I endorse is of quality because I know that whatever I endorse will affect people’s choices.”
