Traffic investigators in Makati City were directed to resolve traffic-related problems even after office hours. Acting Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña ordered the Makati Public Safety Department (MAPSA) to extend its working schedule until 10 p.m. to process towed vehicles and accident reports and attend to complaints against erring traffic enforcers and other forms of irregularities in the administration of traffic rules and regulations. He said there has been a new working shift in MAPSA, which starts at 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays, in addition to its 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. regular working schedule. The scheme has been in effect since Sept. 21, but was only announced on Tuesday. Meanwhile, MAPSA maintains 24/7 deployment of traffic enforcers on the streets and other strategic locations in the city to ensure safety and security of motorists and commuters alike.
