Makati City has started preparing for the rainy season by removing around 257 metric tons of silt and assorted solid waste from the drainage system in various barangays from January to April this year.
In a report to Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, the city’s Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) said declogging and desilting operations were held in barangays Pio del Pilar, San Antonio, Palanan, San Isidro, Bangkal, La Paz and Singkamas.
