Re-elected Mayor Oscar Malapitan on Wednesday promised to continue serving Caloocan City (Metro Manila) residents with complete honesty. Malapitan vowed to pursue his projects and programs for the next three years – education, infrastructure, health, peace and order, and employment aspect – he promised his constituents. Meaning, it would not be tainted with graft and corruption unlike his first three years. Malapitan was charged before the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with overpriced gifts for senior citizens, which he calls “purely politically motivated since it was filed with the help of outgoing Rep. Recom Echiverri. Malapitan’s son, Representative-elect Dale Along Malapitan, will replace Echiverri.
