KUALA LUMPUR: President Barack Obama designated the search for a missing Malaysian passenger jet a “top priority” for the United States as Malaysia shared evidence with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and sought on Thursday to pacify relatives’ anger at the lack of progress.

Nearly two weeks after Malaysia Airlines flight 370 vanished with 239 passengers and crew on board, no concrete evidence has been uncovered to confirm what happened, who was responsible or—most importantly—where the aircraft ended up.
