FORMER Cavite representative Erineo Maliksi has been appointed chairman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the position left vacant by Margarita Juico who resigned last year.
Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said Maliksi’s appointment paper was signed by President Benigno Aquino 3rd on April 17.
Maliksi will serve Juico’s unexpired term from July 1, 2014 to June 30 this year.
Prior to his appointment, Maliksi served as governor of Cavite for three terms (from 2001 to 2010) and as representative of the province in Congress for two separate terms (from 1998 to 2001 and from 2010 to 2013).
He also served as Mayor of Imus, Cavite from 1988 to 1998.
