THE world’s No. 1 football club Manchester United forged a partnership with CLEAR to discover new talents in the Philippines. A total of 32 players will be selected through tryouts in different parts of the country from March to April. The new pool of talents will be sent to train in the Manchester United Soccer School.
“Manchester United has more than one million followers in the Philippines and I am delighted with this opportunity to bring our Soccer Schools to the country through our partnership with CLEAR,” said Jaime Reigle, the managing director of Manchester United Asia Pacific.
The tryouts are scheduled on the following dates: March 22 (Cebu), March 23 (Iloilo), March 29 (Davao), March 30 (Metro Manila) and April 25-27 (Camp). Registration is free but candidates should be at least 17-year old to qualify.
The training camp will bring in Union of European Football Associations-accredited coaches and will utilize the club’s prestigious training program that was used by world-class players such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, and CLEAR endorser and 2014 FIFA Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.
