FOLLOWING the success of an ordinance that bans riding-in-tandem motorcycle riders in an effort to curb crimes involving motorcycle riders, the city government of Mandaluyong has announced it was on a schedule to re-launch its Riding in Tandem Ordinance No. 550 on Saturday for the next three years. “I will be having a motorcade with the city’s motorcycle riders’ association this Saturday within Mandaluyong to let people know that the riding in tandem ordinance would be in effect for the next three years,” Mayor Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. told reporters during the breakfast meeting on Monday at Legend Villas, Mandaluyong City (Metro Manila). The city ordinance was implemented during a six-month pilot test that started in September last year. It expired on March 4 this year.
