Manhunt on for killers of transport leader


POLICE launched a citywide manhunt against two men who shot dead a transport group leader on Thursday morning. Sr. Supt. Rolen Balquin, city police director, said police investigators are following up a lead that could identify and possibly arrest the suspect who killed Alimudin Lucman. Lucman, 47, the president of Notre Dame Village Drivers and Operators Association, sustained six gunshot wounds. Besides Lucman, Mamudin Aluy, his companion, was also wounded in the shooting.

Lucman died on the spot while bystanders rushed Aluy to the hospital.Police said prior to the shooting, Lucman had been receiving death threats through his mobile phone from still unidentified persons.

  1. How could anyone guess what city this incident happened when no mention of the place on the news report.If I were to guess this happened somewhere in Mindanao due to the Muslim name of the victim.
