Manila’s outstanding prosecutors, judges and police officers were recognized Monday evening by Mayor Joseph Estrada as part of the week-long run-up to the city’s observance of Araw ng Maynila.

The mayor, who begins his second term on June 30, urged the honorees at a special ceremony held at the New World Hotel in Ermita, Manila to “fight the good fight so that goodness, justice and equality may prevail.”

Estrada said he expects the usual cooperation and assistance from these officials whom he asked to “stay the course.”

“When you know you are doing the right thing, keep on doing it and you will win the day,” he said.

With Estrada at the ceremony were Chief Supt. Rolando Nana, MPD director, Edward Serapio, secretary to the mayor, and Jay Flaminiano, city legal officer.

The awardees were Police Supt. Antonietto Eric Mendoza, Supt. Albert Barot, Senior Insp. Gilbert C. Cruz, Senior Insp. Alfredo Agbuya, SPO4 Ferdinand Espino, SPO4 Julio Salvador Toledo, PO3 Eric Casuncad, PO3 Bernardo Cayabyab, Clara Susan Castillo and Jesusana Asia, Outstanding Manila Police District personnel.

The Outstanding Prosecutors were Marilou Tejada-Villanueva, Nevic Adolfo, Rocille Aquino-Tambasacan, Magnolia Gonzales and Connie Alvaro Dimaculangan.

The Outstanding MTC Judges were: Ma. Maureen Concepcion-Dy, Carissa Anne Manook-Frondozo, Anne Perpetual Rivera-Sia, Carolina De Jesus-Esguerra and Ma. Christina De Pio Lim.

The Outstanding RTC judges were Reynaldo Alhambra, Jean Marie Bacorro Villena, Dinnah Aguila-Topacio, Virgilio Alameda, Emma Young and Armando Yanga. Jaime R. Pilapil
