Four drug suspects were shot dead by the police in Manila on Wednesday.
At 2:35 a.m. in Paco Manila, Alfredo “Ayong” Barabas, 52, was killed during a buy-bust led by PO1 Efren Sabulao of the Station Anti-Illegal drugs- Special Operation Task Unit (SAID-SOTU).
During the transaction, Barabas sensed that he was dealing with the police and he pulled out his gun but the policemen fired first.
Barabas died while he was being taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, in Malate, three unidentified men who ran away from policemen manning a checkpoint were shot dead when they engaged police authorities in a firefight.
The police recovered crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, a knife and a .38 revolver from the victims.
