The Manila Times College (TMTC) and the Lyceum of the Philippines Manila (LPU) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) allowing both institutions to offer a double-degree program in Journalism and Mass Communication.
According to the agreement, Lyceum and TMTC will offer the program beginning SY 2013-2014.
The agreement also allows students from Lyceum to cross-enroll in TMTC and vice-versa.
TMTC students are entitled to take General Education subjects in Lyceum as long as they pass entrance or verification examinations, while Lyceum students, especially graduating students, will be automatically accepted to the internship programs of TMTC.
The agreement was signed by Lyceum Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Conrado E. Inigo Jr. and TMTC President Dr. Isagani Cruz. Rizalina A. Cruz, dean of the LPU College of Arts and Sciences and Dr. Dante Ang, chairman emeritus of TMTC and The Manila Times were also in the event as witnesses.
Lyceum is the newest addition to the list of TMTC’s partner schools offering double-degree programs. TMTC signed a similar agreement with the Emilio Aguinaldo College in September last year, and another with the National University earlier this month.
