Manila traffic policeman shot dead


A MANILA policeman was shot to death while he was manning the traffic at the corner of Legarda Street and Recto Avenue before 8 p.m. on Thursday. PO3 Ronaldo Flores, 46, married, a resident of 439 F. Herbosa Street, Tondo, died instantly from injuries to his head and body. The suspect wearing a white t-shirt, bull cap and armed with a still unidentified gun walked casually after the incident. Probers have yet to determine the motive. Witnesses Joseph Lansangan, Teodoro Tomas and Raymond Tan, all members of the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, said they were manning the traffic when the suspect suddenly emerged from nowhere and fired at the victim.
