Manila welcomes first West Elm, PBTeen stores

An exclusive grand launch marked the introduction of West Elm and PBteen to the Philippines as they opened their doors in Estancia Mall at Capitol Commons. They join Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the country.

Anthony Huang, president of SSI Group, Inc., graciously greeted guests to the opening festivities. Following the success of Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in Central Square last year, Huang was encouraged to open new branches in the bustling Estancia Mall and introduce the two new brands—West Elm and PBteen. Proudly he said, “We’re the only country in Southeast Asia that carries these two brands.”

“We are pleased to partner with SSI Group in introducing the Philippines to our portfolio of brands at a time when there is consumer interest and demand in Southeast Asia,” said Arthur Tropp, senior vice president for Williams-Sonoma Inc.’s Real Estate.

West Elm invited local style influencers Cecile Van Straten, Martine Cajucom, and DJ Tony Toni to celebrate the store’s debut and select their top picks from the new assortment.

PBteen invited four inspiring stylish teens, Nichole Baranda, Natalia Ortega, Arkin Magalona, and Kiana Valenciano, to choose three of their top picks from the brand.

In the Philippines, West Elm and PBteen are exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., a member of SSI Group Inc., and are located at Estancia, Capitol Commons.
