Manuel regains deadly form as Alaska bags twice-to-beat advantage

Vic Manuel played with his old deadly form to tow Alaska past Phoenix, 114-91, on Friday in Season 43 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. The win also earned the Aces the second twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinal round.

Manuel notched 28 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the field plus eight rebounds while returning import Diamon Simpson finished with 18 points, 19 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots. Alaska finished the elimination round with an 8-3 win-loss record.
