Dagupan City, Pangasinan: Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos on Saturday categorically dismissed speculations that Senator Grace Poe, who is running for president, is his biological sister.

Marcos was forced to put a period to the controversy to stop speculations that he is abandoning Sen. Miriam Santiago, his presidential candidate in the coming May 9 polls.

“There is no point [of having me undergo a DNA test]. Why? It will not help her. I just said [that I am willing to undergo a DNA test] because media people were persistently asking me. I was just joking,” he told reporters at the house of Mangatarem Mayor Ted Cruz, after a sweeping caravan from Mangaldan to Dagupan City.

“I am running together with Sen. Miriam Santiago as my president,” he said.

While in the province, Marcos paid a courtesy call on Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas.

“We talked about several topics but nothing about politics,” Marcos said.

“I asked for his blessing,” he added.
