VICE presidential candidate Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was allegedly forced to cancel a campaign sortie in Panabo City, Davao del Norte late Friday because of a bomb threat.
“We could not go to Panabo and meet them (his supporters) because there was a security warning. Just to be safe, we don’t want to take the risk,” he told reporters.
Marcos shrugged off speculations that the bomb threat came from his opponents and meant to derail his campaign.
Upon learning of the bomb threat, presidential aspirant Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City reportedly sent security forces to escort Marcos to his flight back to Manila.
