She made the announcement at the first public appearance of the celebrity baby who was launched with Rivera as the mom-and-baby endorsers of Johnson’s Milk+Oats Baby Bath and Lotion in Bonifacio Global City this week.

Her break will begin after the four-week extension of her morning show, Yan Ang Morning, wraps up.

Rivera also shared that while she is a first time mom, she is very hands-on when it comes to nurturing her seven-month old daughter, adding that she never asks any assistance from her helpers at home to take care of Zia.

Yun yung totoo. Hands on ako eh. Kaya kahit mapuyat ako ok lang,” the young mother enthused.

In describing Baby Zia, Rivera said she inherited different personalities from her mom and dad. From her, Zia is very cheerful, and from Dantes, she is ver observant.

So ‘yun ata yung nakuha sa amin. Yung pagiging bungisngisera, yung personality sa akin,” the doting mom said.

Every so often, Rivera said she and her husband also take time to go on dates, which she believes is important in a marriage. She proudly said that Dantes is so supportive of her and calls her “Super Mom,” as she balances work and raising Zia.

“Kahit na busy sa work and kay baby, lagi pa rin nag rerequest si Dong na, ‘Are you free? Kailan? ‘Pwede ba tayong umalis?’

So sabi niya, ‘Wow you’re a Super Mom talaga.’ Nakakatuwa kasi na-a-apreciate niya.

“Blessed and thankful ako sa nangyayari sa buhay ko kasi nandyan yung asawa ko para suportahan ako, at the same time biniyayaan ako ng panginoon ng anak,” she added.

When asked if she will allow Baby Zia to go into showbiz when she’s older, the celebrity mom laughed and said, “Napakamot ako ng ulo.”
