As weather gradually improves, the water level in Marikina River has subsided by Saturday morning.
In a Twitter account of the Public information Office (PIO) of Marikina, it said the Marikina River water level is down at 16.4 meters as of 8:45 a.m. Saturday.
As of 7:40 a.m., 8,311 families or 36,027 individuals are still staying in 39 evacuation centers in the city.
The Marikina PIO also said that those who will give relief donations for the affected residents can coordinate with City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) located at Marikina Sports Center command center.
It added that all main and secondary roads are now passable.
However, city officials advised owners of cars parked along main roads to removed them to avoid traffic congestion. PNA
