Matsuyama, Willett on the move in rankings

PARIS, FRANCE: Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama and England’s Danny Willett both entered the world top 15 with tournament wins on Sunday (Monday in Manila). Matsuyama moved up six places to 12th by defeating Rickie Fowler in a playoff to take the Phoenix Open, while Willett jumped seven places to 13th by sinking a 15-footer at the last to win the Dubai Desert Classic. The top four places in the world rankings remained unchanged with Rory McIlroy just managing to hold onto second place ahead of Jason Day with a tie for sixth in Dubai. Neither world No.1 Spieth, who is nearly two points clear of McIlroy, nor Day were in action last week.
