Max Collins gears up for a dramatic and mystifying series

One woman’s mysterious quest to find love begins on Monday, February 17 via the newest GMA Network afternoon drama series Innamorata.

Innamorata, an Italian word meaning “my love,” offers a dramatic and mystifying story that will reassure every woman that in spite of all her struggles, fears, and insecurities, there is a kind of love so powerful it makes all things beautiful.

Marking her first lead role in an afternoon series is the comely and charming Kapuso actress Max Collins who will be paired with the handsome Luis Alandy. Supporting performances will come from Jackie Rice, Dion Ignacio and Gwen Zamora, as well as an impressive roster of seasoned actors in Michael De Mesa, Pinky Amador, Leandro Baldemor, and Rita Avila, with the special appearance of Juan Rodrigo.

Innamorata begins with the journey of Esperanza (Max Collins), a young lady who suffers from a hereditary skin disease porphyria—a genetic disorder that develops blisters, itching, and swelling of the skin specifically when exposed to sunlight (Source: NIH: National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases). Despite being taunted by neighbors and mistreated by her adoptive mother Delia (Pinky Amador) Esperanza remains optimistic, though behind her physical appearance is an inner desire to be beautiful.

The series is directed by Don Michael Perez from the original concept of RJ Nuevas.

Innamorata premieres February 17 after Villa Quintana in the Afternoon Prime Block of GMA Network.
