Maybank opens CDO-Lapasan branch to start 2014 expansion

EVEN the continuous rains could not dampen everyone’s spirit as many esteemed guests and valued clients helped inaugurate Maybank’s newest branch in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.

The CDO-Lapasan Branch is Maybank’s 78th branch in the Philippines, and the bank’s 2nd branch in the city.

The morning’s festivities started with a Thanksgiving mass celebrated by Fr. Gil Escalante, followed by the blessing and coin-throwing ceremony. Leading the ceremonial ribbon-cutting was Cagayan de Oro Councilor Candy Darimbang, assisted Maybank Senior Management.

“Though the weather is not cooperating, today is a blessing,” said Joel T. Carranto, Head for Community Distribution, referring to the rainy weather that morning.  He then emphasized the strength and stability of Maybank, and the intention to differentiate the bank through its “service to the community, be it on a rainy day or sunny day.”  He also thanked the audience who attended the inauguration.
