NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur: For using the vehicle of a private contractor who has transactions with his office, the former mayor of Garchitorena, Camarines Sur was convicted of graft by the Sandiganbayan.
The decision of the Sandiganbayan’s 7th Division handed down on November 10, however, parried an imprisonment penalty for former Garchitorena Mayor Jesus Rico Sarmiento and instead fined him P2,000 for pleading guilty to the charges.
