SAINT-PETERSBURG: Pat McQuaid, the president of cycling’s world governing body the UCI, was reelected on Tuesday to the council of ASOIF, the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations. The 63-year-old Irishman, who has been heavily criticised by the US anti-doping agency (Usada) for his handling of the Lance Armstrong affair in his role as UCI chief, was elected following a vote in which 28 federations participated.
