The PHO will implement the move following reports of a measles outbreak in several areas in Metro Manila.

PHO chief Dr. Ed Cruz said that despite the absence of measles cases in the province, they will implement massive immunization, particularly in distantly located areas as prevention and mitigation efforts.

Free immunizations, Cruz said, are now being conducted all over Palawan through the municipal health offices, and parents are encouraged to avail of the anti-measles vaccines to keep their children safe from this infection of the respiratory system.

He said that aside from massive immunization activity, information disseminations are also being conducted about measles and other ailments that are common during this time of the year.
