A practicing pediatrician from the Queen City of the South was crowned as the new Mrs. Philippines-Globe. Dr. Stephanie Sitoy, who also received the Career Woman of the Year award, wowed the judges during the question-and-answer portion of the pageant.
“What differentiates me from other women is my own confidence, dignity and principle,” replied Sitoy when asked what sets her apart from her fellow 22 candidates. These, she said, can guide her toward achieving her goals and every endeavor in life.
Married to a neurologist, Sitoy received P300,000 worth of prizes, and will represent the Philippines in the Mrs. Globe 2015 World Finals at Shenzhen, China in November.
The credible panel of judges on pageant night comprised of Mrs. Globe President Dr. Tracy Kemble; Mrs. Globe Vice President Monica Kline-Kazas; Mrs. Philippines-Globe National Pageant Director Morena Carla Cabrera-Quimpo; Mrs. Philippines Globe 2012 and Mrs. Globe Face of the Year 2012 Joyce Pascual-Agsaway; Woman of Substance Mrs. Philippines- Globe 2012 and Associate Pageant Director of Mrs. Philippines-Globe Pinky Siva; Bb. Pilipinas International 2001 Maricarl Tolosa; internationally acclaimed fashion designer Albert Andrada; and Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1996 Aileen Damiles.
Completing the winners’ circle on May 17 were Janice Trillo (Woman of Substance 2014), businesswoman from Olongapo; Sonia Mendoza (1st runner-up), government employee from Cavite; Aileen Jane Cavas (2nd runner-up), speech and language pathologist from Cavite; Eizza De Baron (3rd runner-up) marketing manager from the Greater Manila Area.
Special awards Mrs. Philippines-Globe Woman of Substance 2014 and Most Elegant Woman went to Janice Trillo; first runner up and Best Talent of the Year to Sonia Mendoza; second runner up and Karimadon Supermodel Mom to Aileen Jane Cavas; and third runner up and Kankunis Mrs. Body Beautiful to Eizza de Baron.
Mrs. Philippines-Globe is the local franchise of Mrs. Globe USA, an organization strongly affiliated with The Women In Need Foundation, which aims to help abused women and children recover their self-esteem.
Mrs. Globe emphasizes that women have the right to be heard, loved and respected.
