Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario meets His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, during the Secretary’s call on the Prime Minister in Manama on August 20. The two officials reaffirmed the importance of Philippine-Bahrain ties. Bahrain is an important friend and trading partner of the Philippines in the Middle East, and home to over 60,000 Filipinos. A Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultations was signed during the visit to institutionalize regular exchanges between the two governments which will place greater focus on economic cooperation.
