ARAYAT, Pampanga: Operatives of Pampanga police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 3 (PDEA 3) raided on Thursday what is considered the biggest shabu laboratory discovered so far at the foot of Mount Arayat in Barangay Lacquios here.
Senior Supt. Rodolfo Recomojo Jr., Pampanga police director, said the drug laboratory was secured by an eight to 10-foot concrete fence, beside a hog farm and a plastics plant.
Recomono said no arrest was made as occupants fled to different directions after seeing the raiding team.
The area was the second shabu laboratory overrun by authorities in two weeks, police said.
Found in the laboratory were seven large hydrogenators and chromatograph machines that can manufacture 50 to 100 kilograms a day.
Meanwhile, Supt. Samuel Sevilla, Arayat police chief, said they were inspecting industries, specifically hog and poultry farms, when they discovered a shabu laboratory in nearby Barangay San Ildefonso (Bical) in Magalang, Pampanga two weeks ago.
He added no one has claimed ownership of the property yet.
