• Megaworld eyes ‘Makati-inspired’ CBD for Cavite

LISTED property firm Megaworld Corp. on Monday said it was planning to build a business district in Cavite that is expected to generate total sales of up to P9 billion.

Megaworld told the local bourse the development, dubbed as the Maple Grove Commercial District, will be situated at its 140-hectare Maple Grove township project in General Trias, Cavite

The company said the project, which offers 363 prime lots for sale to companies and businesses, is inspired by the master plan of the Makati Central Business District (CBD).

“Within the Maple Grove Commercial District, we are creating sub-districts that lead to a 6-lane main avenue. The entire development will be surrounded with green and leisure parks and the streets, composed of secondary and service roads, will be interconnected in a way that everything becomes accessible wherever you come from,” said Rachelle Peñaflorida, vice president for sales and marketing at Megaworld.

The commercial lots in the project range in size from 360 square meters to 1,008 square meters, Megaworld said.

The project will be completed in 2022 and turnover of the lots to owners will then commence.

“Lot owners are expected to construct their buildings within five years from turnover,” it added.

Megaworld said the township will also have residential and recreational villages, a school, and other commercial establishments including a mall, which will be rolled out in the next 10 years.
