Listed real estate developer Megaworld allotted P1.5 billion to construct the 15-story Marriott Courtyard Hotel to rise at the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park.
In a statement, Megaworld said that the hotel will offer “first-class accommodation to business and leisure travellers” in the Western Visayas region, as the project will be a tie up with international lodging company, Marriott International Inc.
According to Peter Gassner, Asia-Pacific hotel development director of Marriot, the Courtyard Hotel is the very first in the Philippines that will mark its debut in the Iloilo Business Park.
“This is another milestone for Iloilo Business Park. Our development in Iloilo is a showcase of our company’s commitment to uplifting the Ilonggo lifestyle. The quality of service of Courtyard by Marriott is legendary and will help to lift the level of accommodation and leisure in Iloilo City,” said Jericho Go, vice president of Megaworld.
The 15-story hotel will have a total of 314 rooms and suites, which is comprised of 121 king rooms, 140 double rooms, 34 executive rooms and 16 suites.
Array of amenities also include a lounge bar, meeting rooms, swimming pool with bar, outdoor bar and grill, art gym and business center, as well as a high-class restaurant offering trademark Courtyard dishes from all over the world.
Megaworld said that they will have other projects in line for the Iloilo Business Park which include luxury residential condominiums, business process outsourcing office towers, lifestyle mall, a 1.1-kilometer festive walk commercial strip, open parks, transport hub, and the Iloilo Convention Center, among others.
