• Melindo gets crack at IBF light flyweight title

CEBU CITY: Milan Melindo gets another crack at a world title 18 months after his unsuccessful bid for the 112-pound world title, this time for the 108-pound belt on April 25 in Mexico. Melindo is set to face the dangerous Javier Mendoza in the Mexican’s mandatory IBF world light flyweight title defense in Tijuana, Mexico, hoping to erase the sting of his unanimous decision loss to Juan Francisco Estrada for the WBO and WBA 112-pound titles on July 27, 2013.
