It was a “Very Merry MOA Christmas” when the SM Mall of Asia welcomed the holidays with the lighting of the 50-foott giant Christmas Tree, a show stopping special performance by the Acrobat Troupe from London under Scarlet Entertainment, and with a gift-giving activity for kids.
The incredible acrobatic troupe, who has been entertaining Europe, the Middle East and Asia for 15 years now, amazed the audience with their breathtaking moves and acrobatics.
As is the mall’s tradition, the event included a tree lighting ceremony of the 50-foot Christmas tree designed with over 500 ornaments and embellished with red and white Christmas balls, in stripes and polka dots. Cute little Santas and his friends Leo the lion, Ellie, the elephant, Cyril, the squirrel, Benny, the Bunny, Hannah, the Panda, Hailey the hippo, Macky, the monkey and Gerry, the giraffe complete the display.
SM SVP for Operations Steven Tan, SVP for Marketing Jon Jon Agustin, AVP for Operations Perkin So and Mall of Asia’s Assistant Mall Manager Amy Gonzales shared honors during the tree lighting.
During the event, SM also launched its Christmas Bears of Joy for the benefit of National Council of Social Development, which helps kids with life-threatening diseases. Every P200 purchase at any SM branch, entitles one to a pair of SM Bears of Joy, one of those goes to the foundation.
