Metro Manila police chief moves up in PNP revamp

Metro Manila police chief Director Leonardo Espina will be moved up as the Chief of Directorial Staff (TCDS) in a high-level reshuffle in the Philippine National Police that takes effect on Thursday.

A PNP official, who asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak on matter, said on Wednesday Espina will be replaced as head of the National Capitol Region Police Office by Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, the director of Central Visayas police.
The position of Chief of the Directorial Staff, the fourth highest in the PNP, is vacant.
The source said changes in other PNP positions will follow soon. ANTHONY VARGAS
