The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has ordered the closure of one of the international runways at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for “emergency repairs”, according to aviation authorities.

In a statement on Thursday, the MIAA said its engineers found two 30-centimeter potholes on runway 624 and started work on them at 10 a.m. The repairs are expected to last until 1 p.m., the MIAA said.
