MIAA ready for Holy Week

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Jose Angel Honrado said that security measures at the four terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are in place to ensure safe, reliable and convenient operations at the premier airport from March 18 to 28. Traffic leading to the airport is expected to get heavier starting this weekend as passengers were advised to be at the airport three hours before departure. Travelers were also encouraged to use airline check-in kiosks to hasten check-in procedures, and advised to avoid carrying prohibited items in their luggage. Office for Transportation Security, the Bureau of Customs, Immigration and Quarantine have augmented their existing manpower complement in the NAIA terminals to properly meet the increase of travelers during Lent and to ensure smooth passenger flow as well.
