Airport authorities on Thursday launched the commissioning and testing of the Fire Detection and Alarm System at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. D.M. Consunji, Inc., the company responsible for the NAIA 1 rehabilitation, tested the system before the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) accepted this. The activity includes the activation of horn strobes and bells followed by voice evacuation prompt, while automatic fire sprinkler system was also tested without the actual sprinkling of water. The MIAA announced that it will conduct earthquake exercises on July 30 at the administration building.
