THE Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) central committee has agreed to return the firearms and personal belongings of the 44 Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) members who were killed by MILF fighters in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

In a letter sent by Mohagher Iqbal, Chairman of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) to Senator Grace Poe, chair of the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs, the MILF official stated that the leadership of the organization has decided to return the firearms and personal effects of the fallen PNP-SAF in deference to the peace process.
