MINDANAO, VISAYAS JOLTED BY SMALL QUAKES

ZAMBOANGA CITY: The southern and central part of Philippines on Tuesday was jolted by a series of quakes in the central and southern region, although there have been no reports of injuries or damages to structures. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, a 3.5-magnitude quake hit the town of Gov. Generoso in Davao Oriental province while Burgos town in Surigao del Norte felt one of 2.6-magnitude. Another quake was also recorded in Tagbilaran City in Bohol province, which has been previously damaged by a powerful tremor last year. The latest quake was reported to be of 2.6-magnitude.
