Mini bus overshoots seawall in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY: At least two dozen passengers were injured on Saturday after a mini bus overshot a seawall on a coastal village in the southern Filipino port city of Zamboanga, authorities said. It said the bus was heading to Talisayan village when it plunged into the sea in Sinunuc village. The bus, which was carrying 28 passengers, landed on its side. Many of the victims were rushed to various hospitals. The driver, Edgardo Pantellosa, who was among the injured, said he lost control of the vehicle after its wheel axle broke. “The axle broke and I lost control of the wheel,” Pantellosa said.
