• MINING EMPLOYEE HACKED DEAD

    A mining employee was found dead with multiple hack wounds by government troops on Sunday in a remote village in Agusan del Sur, police reports said Monday. Reports at the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame identified the dead as Jose Silagan, 45, of Barangay Santa Cruz, Rosario of the said province. Reports said his body was found by patrolling troops of the army’s 75th Infantry Battalion along Picop Road, at Purok 10-A, Barangay Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur. The body, which bore multiple stab wounds in the back and chest, was identified through his identification card from Philsaga, a mining firm in the province, reports said.
