Miriam: Napenas not to blame for Mamasapano massacre

SENATOR Miriam Santiago is convinced that it was not relieved Special Action Force (SAF) chief Getulio Napenas who was in command when the bungled Oplan Exodus was carried out that led to the killing of 44 elite police commandos in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

Santiago, during the resumption of the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs investigation on the Mamasapano clash, said Napenas acted as a “gentleman” when he took full responsibility for the incident.

“Who are the people responsible? Who are the people behind your back. You have acted as a gentleman but who are the people pulling the strings behind you?” Santiago asked Napenas.

The senator also cited numerous mistakes during the execution of the operation to capture terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan from the time the operation started to the positioning of back up troops.

But she said Napenas should not be blamed for the whole fiasco.

  1. do not negotiate with the terorirst, if the peace negotiator doesn’t know that then we are in big trouble – Sen Alan Cayetano

Sen. Miriam next need to blame is Pres. Abnoy, he is merely good in sending corrupt officials into jail but in protecting us from DANGER is extremely terrible.

Imagine how could you stomach to attend a new car model inauguration in Laguna if you know that the arrival honor of the Fallen troops in Villamor is on the same date you attend that induction?

is that Autism? I hope not..

Sen. Alan or Miriam for president pls……….

It is very obvious that there is somebody behind the operation and Napenas is just the messenger boy. Santiago is trying to lift the burden from Napenas shoulders and giving him the chance to say who are /those persons. It is a very smart move by Santiago.

Of course we already know who those persons are. But unfortunately, we only have Santiago who squeeze that name from the witnesses. Hopefully she will succeed.

    God Bless our country.

  3. Correct! Dir. Napenas, be an Officer and a Gentleman, identify who you gave you orders to proceed to your mission. Dapat walang pagaalinlangan ang pagidentify mo kasi kawawa ka naman. Gen. Caduwag este Catapang pala, do what an officer and a gentleman should do. Expose the authority who gave the order to the AFP to “STAND DOWN” and let the MILF continue their butchering of our policemen.

  4. Thank you, Miriam, for having the balls to cut down Purisima and Iqbal with their crap and bull.

  5. CHAIN OF COMMAND IN THE PNP/SAF MASSACRE

Benigno Simeon C. Aquino, III – President
    Gen. Alllan Purisima – PNP Chief (suspended}
    Gen. Napenas – Commanding Officer,
    PNP/SAF
    Officers – PNP/SAF
    Rank and file – – do –

BYPASSED IN THE CHAIN OF COMMAND

Sec. Mar Roxas – Interior Dept. Head
    Gen. Espina – OIC PNP

Now basing on above, who is to blame?
