A vice mayor of a Misamis Occidental town escaped unhurt but her two companions were injured in an ambush in a remote village on Monday, police said.
Senior Supt. Leony Roy Ga, Misamis Occidental police director, said Vice Mayor Annabelle Boza-Hamoy of Don Victoriano Chiongbian was spared from the suspects’ bullets but her driver—Danny Rabago and security escort Titing Luna—were wounded.
