LOS ANGELES: New release "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" cruised to the head of the box office, beating out fellow debut "Vacation" for top honors, according to industry estimates Sunday.

The fifth installment of the Blockbuster franchise stars Hollywood heavyweight Tom Cruise as a top-secret agent battling a rogue global organization that is trying to destroy the International Monetary Fund.
