Mitsubishi heads to Davao for ‘Montero Sport Head-to-Head Test Drive Challenge’

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) will hold a series of exciting and one of a kind test drive events featuring the all-new Montero Sport. Dubbed as the “Mitsubishi Montero Sport Head-to-Head Test Drive Challenge,” the event will give customers the opportunity to test drive the all -new Montero Sport as well as the competition. Customers who are in the market for a sport utility vehicle (SUV) will now be able to personally experience and compare the class-leading features of the Montero Sport versus competitive models and experience for themselves why the all-new Montero Sport got all praises from media tests.

In its April issue, the all-new Montero Sport was the runaway choice of top automotive magazine, Top Gear Philippines, in its big test of all mid-sized SUVs. Top Gear Philippines gave the new Montero Sport top points in overall styling, performance, riding comfort, technology and safety features. Those who will take the Head-to-Head Test Drive Challenge will surely be amazed of the performance particularly on the power of the new 2.4-liter common rail direct injection Clean Diesel with the only one in its class with Variable valve timing Electronic Control System (MIVEC). The all-new Montero Sport is also the first in its class to have an eight-Speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode that is designed for quick sprints, relaxed highway cruising and, best of all, excellent fuel efficiency. The GLS 4WD (four-wheel drive), meanwhile, is equipped with a new six-speed manual transmission. Customers who will test the Montero Sport will get to experience these new transmissions, which bring out more pleasurable drive and better performance. For the top-of-the-line model, the all new Montero Sport GT 4WD features the new Super-Select II 4WD system, Mitsubishi’s proprietary four-wheel drive system, which can be driven on full-time 4WD even at high speeds. This is further complemented by the new off-road mode (first on a Mitsubishi model), which gives an excellent all-terrain performance and stability.
