Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) announced last week issued a safety inspection campaign on certain units of the L200 and Strada pick-up to check on their airbag inflators. While there has been no reported failure in the Philippines so far, MMPC and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation decided to pursue this proactive and preventive measure to ensure the safety of their customers.
According to a statement released by MMPC, the time required to inspect, and if needed, replace the affected airbag will take an hour, at the most. Those models included in the safety campaign are the L200 and Strada models made from 2007-2014. MMPC assured customers that the procedure shall be free of charge.
