In G4 configuration, Mitsubishi’s Mirage turns more mature, sophisticated.

MITSUBISHI Motors Phils. Corp. (MMPC) adds more excitement to its passenger car lineup with the official unveiling of the all-new Mirage G4. Designed to address the need for a practical and yet stylish compact sedan that will perfectly suit diverse lifestyles, the Mirage G4—which stands for Mirage Global four-door sedan—offers great cabin and trunk spaces, class-leading features and amenities, providing customers with an exceptional value for money.
The all-new Mirage G4 is available in GLS and GLX variants and in both Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) and five-speed manual transmission (MT) models. It is a completely built unit from Mitsubishi Motors Thailand.

Engine and transmission
At the heart of the all-new Mirage G4 is a lightweight and compact 1.2-liter three-inline DOHC MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control) gasoline engine that produces 77hp at 6,000rpm and 100Nm at 4,000rpm. Thanks to this eco-friendly engine, plus excellent aerodynamics (which is among the best in class) and lightest Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, the all-new Mirage G4 is able to achieve up to 21 kilometers per liter in fuel efficiency (based on Mitsubishi Motors Corp. test results using EU combined cycle).

The GLS variant gets a “diamond-cut” chrome grille while the GLX is treated with a “diamond-cut” black grille, which adds sleekness and excitement to this small sedan. The GLS is complemented by 15-inch alloy wheels with 185/55 R15 tires while the GLX flaunts 14-inch steel rims with 175/65 R14 tires.

The top GLS variant is equipped with power side mirror with integrated LED-type lamps. It is available in six trendy colors: Medium Blue Mica, Pyrenese Black, Savanna White, Majestic Red, Gemstone Grey Mica and Cool Silver. There are four color choices for the GLX variant: Majestic Red, Gemstone Grey Mica, Cool Silver and Aurora White.

Interior and entertainment
The Mirage G4 has an ivory and black interior for the GLS and an all-black interior for the GLX. The GLS is equipped with an auto climate control system that accurately controls the temperature inside the car.

The Mirage G4’s generous space and impressive legroom fit five adults. It also has a spacious trunk that can accommodate up to three golf bags or up to 450 liters worth of shopping bags. A multimedia entertainment system is available as a dealer option for the GLS. This has a four-speaker audio system, 6.5-inch touch-screen monitor, DVD and MP3 player, tuner auxiliary jack, USB port, and is iPod-ready. It is also equipped with GPS Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Mirage G4 is equipped with front dual SRS airbags and also features the RISE body that ensures safety. The GLS is equipped with ABS with EBD. ABS ensures that the car remains responsive to the driver’s control when braking while the EBD distributes the force generated to all four wheels to shorten braking distance.

Value for money

Suggested introductory retail price of the all-new Mirage G4 starts at P578,000 for the GLX MT, P628,000 for the GLX CVT, while the GLS MT is available for P668,000 and the top-of-the-line GLS CVT for P718,000.

MMPC is assuring a worry-free ownership with an extended warranty period of five years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
