THE country’s grandest biennial international motor show will again wow the public, as the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) announced the staging of the 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
From September 14 to 18, car enthusiasts and the whole family will have a chance to see a wide display of the latest and future models in the automotive scene. The 6th PIMS is happening at the World Trade Center and ticket price is only one hundred pesos.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) will surely provide an exciting and uniquely interesting pavilion, as it showcases a display of its latest models, future models, and a concept car.
MMPC would like to give the public a feel of an international motor show by featuring models that made their world premieres at international motor shows abroad. There will be a 10-car display at the main pavilion, including a cut-away model of the Outlander PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and the XM Concept. The latest medium and heavy duty Fuso trucks will also be previewed during the show at the outdoor display area.
Show goers will also have the chance to personally experience Mitsubishi vehicles with the MIVEC clean diesel engine, particularly the all-new Montero Sport and the new Strada GT through test-driving. Exciting activities and freebies also await those who will visit MMPC’s booth.
Designed and engineered to respond to the eco-conscious society, the new Outlander PHEV flaunts an incomparable power and refinement. It fully embodies the best qualities of a premium SUV. The innovative Plug-in Hybrid EV system is remarkably eco-efficient. Enjoy zero fuel consumption and zero CO2 emissions during all-electric driving—and an incredibly quiet ride as well.
Also enter a hybrid mode to travel even greater distances with low emissions and an impressive 1.8 liter/100 km combined fuel efficiency.
The XM Concept is a unique small crossover Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) that combines the best features of a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and an MPV. More than the toughness of an SUV and the functionality of an MPV, the XM Concept carries Mitsubishi Motors’ Dynamic Shield concept that flaunts a futuristic design and a visual expression of safety. The Philippines will be the second country to see the XM Concept after its world premiere at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show.
Boasting the new Dynamic Shield design, the new ASX or the Active Sport Crossover is redesigned to provide an improved array of features for an even pleasurable drive. This compact crossover surely will exceed expectations, as it offers class-leading amenities that perfectly suit every lifestyle.
MMPC will also display the all new Montero Sport, new Strada GT with the 4N15 MIVEC Clean Diesel Engine, Pajero VGT, Lancer EX, Mirage, and the Mirage G4. To make it even more exciting, some of these vehicles will be equipped with accessories. For the Fuso line-up, the FI and FJ models will also be displayed during the five-day motor show at the outdoor display area.
